Associate Program Manager


Introductory role leading the Program in the execution of customer and internal projects to ensure that each product program meets its defined goals and objectives. Acts as the primary interface with customer after receipt of sales order for assigned projects. Reports to Facility Operations Manager.


Duties include but are not limited to the following 

  • Build and Lead the Value Stream Integrated Product Teams 
  • Develop Program Plan(s) 
  • Develop Program Production Schedule (with project team) 
  • Facilitate Program Communication between customer and HII 
  • Manage the Program Plan, Budget, & Schedule 
  • Monitor & Report Program Progress and Performance 
  • Manage Program Issues, Risk, and Change Control processes
  • Support sales and marketing in presenting company capabilities
  • Manage programs to ensure compliance with all technical, quality and delivery requirements 
  • Manages programs after sale to ensure that schedules, contracts and delivery dates are met. 
  • Ensure that the entire primary applicable customer, military, commercial specifications, and requirements are followed and met. 
  • Makes an effort for continuous improvement to work processes for production and/or quality control
  • Responsible for following rules & regulations stated in the company handbook, notices & postings. 
  • Responsible for following the written and verbal directions of leads, supervisor and management
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment as well as follow the Code of Safe Work Practices. 
  • Wiliness & ability to understand and adhere the company quality system in work processes


  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, and over ten years of experience with advance knowledge, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education; or a BS in a business or technical discipline.  MBA is a plus, but not required. 
  •  Experience in program/product management
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite
  • 3-5 years in Aerospace Industry 
  • Ground support equipment experience a plus
